UDUS Inducts 78 Pharmacy Graduands, 9 Bag First Class

The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has on Tuesday 21 December 2021, held an induction ceremony for the graduating students of Pharmaceutical Sciences for the 2019/2020 academic session at the university auditorium.
During the induction ceremony, seventy-eight graduates from Pharmaceutical Science were Inducted. However, out of seventy-eight students, nine students bagged first class.
Moreover, out of nine first-class students, Haruna Anas Ruggah who hails from Sokoto state emerged as the overall best graduating student of the year from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science with a 4.88 CGPA.
The occasion was graced by the influential dignitaries, among them is Vice-Chancellor of UDUS who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Prof. M. G Mahuta, Sokoto State Commissioner of Animal Health, Abdulƙadir Usman Junaidu, and Professor Yarima Musa, Dean of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science and other dignitaries in the university.
Haruna Anas Ruggah expressed his gladness and showed his gratitude to Allah, noting that he never expected such achievement.
He said: "Well, it was something l never anticipated although Alhamdulillah! I'm grateful to Allah. I feel nothing but Alhamdulillah! For His wisdom and mercy, " he stated.
When he was asked about his method of reading, he said: "Actually I don't have any reading method. I only go to class and read but I never read at night because I never read beyond 10 pm."
In addition to his success, Haruna Anas also bagged a lot of awards in the induction ceremony.
In the Vice Chancellor's vote of thanks, Professor Lawal Sulaiman Bilbis who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academy, Professor M. G Mahuta, applauded the staff, parents, guardians, and the students. He urged the students to continue being good ambassadors of UDUS.
