The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto under the leadership of Prof. Lawal Suleiman Bilbis, has set to hold a matriculation ceremony for the new intake of students for the 2020/2021 academic session.
This was contained in a banner released by the school management on 13th December 2021, stating that the matriculation ceremony is for the new students in 100 level, 200 level (those admitted with Direct Entry 'DE') and the postgraduate students who are not graduates of the University.
The Matriculation ceremony is a yearly event that comes up at every first semester of the sessions where the newly admitted students are made to put on matriculation gowns, take oath, be registered and recognized as bona-fide members of the institution.
According to the released banner, the rehearsal for this year matriculation ceremony is scheduled for Friday, 17th December, 2021, at the school Convocation Theater, by 4:00p.m while the ceremony will be held on Monday, 20th December, 2021 at the Convocation Theater by 10:00a.m.
