NAOSS UDUS Set to Organize Orientation Program for New Members

Olaoye Abdulrasheed reports,

The National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS), Usmanu Danfodioyo University, Sokoto Chapter, has set to hold a day orientation program for its newly admitted members on Sunday 21st, November 2021 at A10 Lecture Hall.

The aim of organizing the orientation is to enlighten the new students on the rules and regulations that must be followed on-campus and the necessary information to aid their successful academic pursuit on the soil of UDUS.

The president of the union, Comrade Hassan H.A, said the focus of the association in organizing the program is to shed light on "Do's and Don't" on campus and to establish familiarity between the students and the association's staff advisers.

He noted that there would be an annual 'best students' award from the Association which should keep students up for the task and makes them focus on their primary assignment of being in UDUS.

"On that day, we are going to have 'Ewi', 'Oriki' of different home town, brief history of Osun, a lecture from our guest speaker, Dr. M I O Raji, questions and answers and lots of things," he said.

The topic of the orientation program is "Importance of Developing People Skills as well as Technical Skills for Career Success."

However, the union encouraged all Osun State Students 'NAOSSITES' and others to be in attendance for the benefit of the orientation day and the future opportunities it holds.
