MTN Vows to Remove Burden on UDUS Students, Pledges Affordable Data Bundles

The MTN network provider has promised to improve students' welfare by providing a good network and easy data accessibility at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto campus.

This development was disclosed in a public notice released from the office of the S.A on Media and Publicity to the SU CTC chairman, comrade Ibrahim A. Khalifa (IB Khalifa), on Friday 15th October 2021.

The notice reads thus: "Students' Union (CTC) UDUS through the stewardship of Comrade M.S UMAR A.K.A (C&C) liaised with the MTN Staff to improve students' welfare on network and data accessibility."

According to the public notice, the programme will only take place on Saturday for three weeks, and it has commenced today, 16th October 2021, from 9 AM - 4 PM.

They, however, encouraged the students to visit the school mini-mart for the upgrade of their MTN Sim cards and migration from one Tariff to another.

"The main target is to ensure vital improvement towards the life of students living on campus.

"Interested persons are to come along with any valid means of identification such as National Identification Card (NIN) FOR SIM CARD UPGRADE, upgrading of SIM card from 3G to 4G with N1500 airtime bonus and 500MB for those that are interested, all at free of charge.

"Additional of FREE SIM CARD that has some benefit data bundles, free airtime to those that are interested are available for free of charge," it read.

However, the circular added that the MTN staff might not be able to attend to issues regarding the welcome back of lost Sim cards during the promo time, but promised to secure a permanent place at the school mini-mart.

"Endeavor to come to receive your MTN students' lives improvement BONUS," it added.
