Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto , like most of its contemporaries is set to introduce the computer based test for Examinations like the general studies.

This was disclosed by the Director of GST courses, Dr FM Tambuwal on Saturday, 19th, at one of the scheduled classes for the course.
According to Tambuwal, during the GST214 lecture and in an interview with INSIDE UDUS, He enlightened students and our correspondent on the steps taken by the department to ease difficulties and challenges faced by both the staff and students.
"We have been deliberating on the issue and I believe soon, probably this semester E - examination for GST courses will be adopted", He said.
We have records of many letters submitted by the students on missing scripts and some on missing grades. He added.

He also mentioned that the CBT will help in further curtailing the Issue of malpractice. There would no need for invigilators to go round the halls seeking violators of the rules.
He jokingly mentioned that the Chairman of examination malpractice committee would no longer have to go around halls.
He said; you all know 'end of the road', it will not be necessary for him to go around examination halls when we start computer based tests.
He made mention of quick processing and release of results as one of the advantages of CBT
" once you finish your exam, your results will be released immediately, which will also ease the work of the lecturers".
Tambuwal however advised all students present at the GST214 lecture to tighten their belts and read hard, as high rate of failure was recorded for the course last session.
