LAWSAN Appoints Pen Press Journalist as Special Assistant on Media and Publicity

Muhammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed, a 100-Level student from the Faculty of Law at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), also member of Pen Press UDUS, has been appointed as the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity (SAMP) by Law Students’ Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN).
According to the notice of appointment signed by Michael Arinze, the National president of the association, on Tuesday, 15 February, 2022, the appointment was after Senate confirmation of worthy LAWSANITES across the Federation.
In an interview with Muhammed Taoheed, who is the only appointee from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, he said that the appointment was a rare chance to lead other Law students in the whole of the country.
"I'm so elated for being an appointee from UDUS, to serve as Special Assistant on Media and Publicity (SAMP) in the Court of Justice. I appreciate everyone that makes this a reality and the Senate for finding me as a worthy LAWSANITE," he said.
PEN PRESS UDUS learned that the appointment of Muhammed Taoheed and other twenty three worthy LAWSANITES, is in line with the mandate of the administration to raise the bar of effective leadership and service delivery in LAWSAN and in accordance with the Article 9(3)(f) of the LAWSAN constitution (as amended in 2020).



“The appointment is with immediate effect. It's a call to duty and I urge every appointees to render selfless service to the association. Fundamentally, I implore all LAWSANITES to give them the necessary cooperation and support that will enable them carryout their various responsibilities conscientiously and effectively in achieving the task of RAISING THE BAR of effective leadership and service delivery in Law Students’ Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN),” reads the notice of appointment.
