SU Honours Prof. Mode With Award of Excellence, Felicitates him on his New Appointment

The Students' Union Caretaker of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, under the chairmanship of Muhammad Shamshudeen Umar, has honoured the Dean Students' Affairs, Prof. Aminu Muhammad Mode with an Award of Excellence. The union also felicitated him on his new appointment as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto State.
The presentation of the award witnessed the presence of the Deputy Dean Students' Affairs, the SU CTC General Secretary, Social Director, and Sports Director. The award was presented to him at his department's office yesterday, 27th/Jan/2021.
While speaking with the CTC chairman, Shamshudeen Umar said the essence of honouring him with the award is to recognise his immense contributions towards education, leadership, and administration.
“In fact, he has been a role model, an icon of peace and articulated integrator to all of us as well as students of UDUS, " he noted.
The Dean Students' Affairs and his Deputy expressed their gladness over the surprising award presented to him by the Students' Union, noting that he is so grateful to students for their support all the time.
"Al-hamdulillah, I am thankful to Allāh first and foremost. Many grateful to our students for their support, prayers and well wishes who have always encouraged us to carry out our responsibility. The students who always call our attention on campuses not only me but my deputies at the main and city campuses. I'm very grateful to you all, " he asserted.
However, the Dean Students' Affairs noted that the Students' Affairs Division can never work successfully without maximum support from the students.
"I really cherished the support of the Danfodites. We remain one, we are supportive of the students and the management of the university and we should continue to work together, " he stated.
The Dean Students' Affairs affirmed that whether he is in UDUS or not, he continues to be with the university.
"We attended this university, our children attended and some are still attending. Danfodiyo will remain ours, and we should remain part of it for better development.
He, however, urged the students to remain peaceful, law-abiding and serious in their primary assignment to be a good ambassador for the university.
“This university is a great university in that we have produced Governors, Senators, Reps, Ministers and the great businessmen and top political men of the country and we are still producing. We are very proud of that," he explained.
“We are grateful to Allāh for the gift he has bestowed upon us, that's why the Danfodites and the management are brothers keepers. We remain good, we remain friendly, we remain fatherly, we remain sonly, and we remain everything. That's why we're good," he said.
