The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has held its 11th induction/oath-taking ceremony of 2019/2020 Pharmaceutical Science graduands at the University Auditorium, the main campus on Tuesday 21st December 2021.
The induction had in attendance important dignitaries of the university, among them are, Professor L.S Bilbis, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, who was ably represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Professor Muhammad Garuba Mahuta.
Also among the dignitaries are the C.E.O of Binji Pharmaceutical Limited, Ibrahim Binji, the Registrar Pharmacist Counsel of Nigeria Pharmacist, Doctor N A Elija, who was also represented by Pharmacist Abubakar Natijo, the coordinator of the North-Western zone Pharmaceutical Science of Nigeria, Dean of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Issa Yerima, and all other prominent personalities.
A speech was delivered by Barrister Liman Yabo who speaks on the theme: “Implications of Ethical Misconduct in Professional Practice".
"We must remember our ethics and our conduct, No matter how much you think you are knowledgeable once your morals are not balanced you might go into ethical misconduct, Education has to do with attitude and attitude has to do with morality," he advised.
The Dean of Pharmaceutical Sciences announced the best graduating students and they were awarded for their dedication towards achieving their aims and objectives.
The best graduating students are DADA Ridwan with 4.60 CGPA, Ibrahim Usman with 4.66 CGPA, Ibikunle Mubarak with 4.70 CGPA, Balarabe Abdullah 4.76 CGPA, Ahmad Rufai 4.78 CGPA, Lawal AbdulRohman 4.79 CGPA, and Haruna Anas emerged as the overall best graduating students with 4.88 CGPA.
Haruna Anas, the best graduating student of Pharmaceutical Science was awarded for his accomplishment towards achieving the great feat.
While speaking with PEN PRESS, he expressed his gladness over his emergence as the best graduating student, noting that all thanks belong to Allah and his respectable parents.
"I will like to show all my sincere appreciation and gratitude to Almighty Allah for giving me the parents that seems to be the reason for my success, " he stated.
