In a bid to foster unity and promote sport activities on campus, the Students' Union UDUS is set to organise an interstates football competition.
In a document perused by PEN PRESS, the Sports Director, Bashir Abdulrahman, invited the football teams of all state association on campus to participate in the competition which he termed 'a major football event'.
"It is with great pleasure that I, Bashir Abdulrahman (Sport Director, UDUS), invites all States Association Football Teams within the University to participate in the staging of “The Interstates Football Competition”, a major football event. The games are planned to be a recurring event, taking place at the University Main Stadium," he wrote.
He also invited the sport representatives of all state association to a meeting scheduled to be held on Sunday 7th November by 5pm to 6pm at the Students' Union secretariat. Among the top issues to be discussed is the procedure on how to sign up for the competition.
