PEN PRESS Holds Second Editorial Meeting, Organises Creative Writing Lecture For Members

Following the promise of the leadership of the press outfit to aid the newly admitted students in their journalism career, in line with this objective, PEN PRESS held an especial class on creative writing at the Students' Union Secretariat, Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto on Friday 12th of November, 2021.

Pen Press did not only record a great turnout of new faces of students especially females from the fresh Mass Communication Department but also the eminent presence of Abiodun Jamiu, a foremost member of Pen Press who is currently the President of the National Association of Campus Journalists as far as UDUS is concerned. Jamiu commended the members for their indefatigable efforts in the publications and he warned that they should be cautious of what they write.

Mazeed Mukhtar Oyeleye lectured on creative writing as a viable tool for mass communication and almost all the house testified through written statements the EIC compelled them that they all gained greatly from the though brief class.

Also, the Editor-in-Chief in the person of AbdulRasheed Hammad of high repute added to the lecture while Faruq Olaoti advised the members to share the group's publications to their social media handles.

Questions were asked and answers were provided at the end of the lecture.
