The Usmanu Danfodiyo University Law Clinic has emerged 1st runner-up at the just concluded 14th edition of the National Client Interviewing and Counselling competition held at the Sultan Muhammad Maccido Institute for Quran and General Studies, Sokoto organized by Network Of University Legal Aid Institutions(NULAI NIGERIA).
The representatives of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Law Clinic are Attahiru Haruna and Firdaousi Baba Salati
The first round of the competition started yesterday January 11, while the semi-final and final stage were concluded today, January 12, with 14 Universities across Nigeria.
The institutions that participated are: Usmanu Danfodiyo university sokoto, Nasarawa state university, university of Ilorin, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, University of Nsukka, American university of Nigeria yola, University of Lagos, kogi state university, Eboyin state University, Bayero state university kano, university of Maiduguri, university of Abuja, University of Benin and Nigeria Police Academy
8 out of these universities bowed out at the first round while the remaining 6 made it to the semi-final.
UDUS made it to the semi final to compete with University of Abuja and Nassarawa State University at the final stage which they were defeated by the Nassarawa law students to emerge the 1st runner-up in the competition
University of Abuja is the 2nd runner-up, Usmanu Danfodiyo University is the 1st runer-up while the winner of the competition is Nassarawa Law clinic.
Nasarawa law clinic will represent Nigeria at the Brown International Client Interviewing and counselling competition which will hold at Dublin, Ireland on April 2019
